New plays at Pentameters Theatre, Hampstead have included Bernardo Stellaís Autumn Music, Harry Meacherís 21st Century Faust, Cardboard Dreams and Mating Behaviour by John Cooper whose The Education of a Lap Dancer (presented in Autumn 2005 at the Pleasance Theatre in Islington with Kate Steavenson-Payne in the title role) is at the cutting edge of new drama in the UK with its controversial stance against the pernicious effects of political correctness and wasteful state bureaucracy.
